At One Off Hospitality Group, we believe that the key to our success lies in our ties to the community.
We proudly commit our time and charitable efforts to the following outstanding organizations:

Pilot Light Chefs

Pilot Light is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that develops and delivers classroom lessons incorporating food and nutrition education into everyday subjects like science, English, and social studies. It was founded in 2010 by our own Paul Kahan and Justin Large, alongside chefs Jason Hammel, Matthias Merges and Ryan Poli. Pilot Light’s mission is to provide children with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to develop healthy relationships with food. For more information, visit www.pilotlightchefs.org.

Greater Chicago Food Depository

The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community.  We naturally aligned with their mission, and began holding food drives at The Publican in2008. While much of One Off’s charitable contributions are given at the administrative level, partnering with the Greater Chicago Food Depository allows our team to participate in giving directly.  For more information, visit chicagosfoodbank.org.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. We proudly participate in the foundation’s Dine to End MS in memory of Kimberly Galban’s mother. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. The Society envisions a world free of MS and moves toward that end by driving change through fundraising, advocacy, facilitating education, collaborating with others and by providing helpful programs and services. Alex’s Lemonade Stand

We’ve been involved with The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) since 2007, when our close friends at Vetri Family Restaurant Group in Philadelphia invited Paul Kahan and Donnie Madia to participate in their yearly gala. Since then we’ve joined hospitality friends from across the nation in supporting yearly events in Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $100 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 475 pediatric cancer research projects nationally. For more information on Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, visit AlexsLemonade.org.

The Lynn Sage Foundation

The Lynn Sage Foundation was founded in honor and memory of Lynn Sage, a beloved mother, daughter and wife who tragically died at the age of 39 as a result of her battle with breast cancer. We support the Lynn Sage Foundation in honor of the women in our company who are proud breast cancer survivors. Dedicated to finding a cure for this disease, The Foundation funds The Lynn Sage Scholars program, which funds promising researchers in the field of breast cancer that are working in Chicago. Scholars are given $100,000 per year for up to two years to conduct research that focuses on the prevention, treatment, and, ultimately, finding a cure for breast cancer.
